ABOUT THE CREATOR

Lynn Roblin is one of Canada’s leading nutrition writers.

For over 30 years she has been helping consumers across Canada make healthy food choices. She has worked as a public health nutritionist in Ontario and has served as a nutrition consultant to Dietitians of Canada, Health Canada, Ontario Ministries of Health, Health Promotion, Education and Agriculture and Food, National Institute of Nutrition, Canadian Health Network and a variety of food marketing boards and companies. She has produced many consumer and professional nutrition education resources and websites.

A few of Lynn’s most notable projects include working as a consultant to Health Canada for the 1992 and 2007 Canada’s Food Guides and supporting resources in 1992 and website in 2007.

She has been published in Diabetes Dialogue, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Homemaker’s, Reader’s Digest and Kidsworld magazines. Lynn also wrote “Eatwrite“, a weekly nutrition column in The Toronto Star from May 1997 to January 2000.

Lynn has been involved in several cookbooks including writing the introduction to Anne Lindsay’s Light Kitchen (Macmillan, 1994). Lynn and fellow dietitian Bev Callaghan produced their first cookbook Suppertime Survival – The Complete Weekly Meal Planner (Macmillan, 1996), which went on to become a national bestseller and had recipes published on Canoe’s website. Other publications include Dietitians of Canada “Great Food Fast” and “500 best Healthy recipes”.

Suppertime Survival was updated in 2005 and has become another national bestseller.
